Our renovation work, and how we go about it

Every job starts with a phone call. We ask what you are planning, what you have seen that you like, and what you want to change. Then we come out to your property and walk through the space with you. We look at the framing, the existing drywall, the floor structure, and where the utilities run. We talk about what you want to do and what it will take to do it right. Before we give you a quote, we tell you what we will do, what we will not do, and what we need from you. The quote is plain and itemized, so you know exactly what you are paying for.

For drywall, we hang board with the right screw spacing and seams that are properly filled and feathered. We use setting-type compound for the first coats because it does not shrink, and we sand between coats until the surface is flat. For texture, we match the existing pattern or apply a fresh one that suits the room. For tile, we check the subfloor for deflection, use the correct backer board, and set tile with thin-set that has the right flexibility for the substrate. We pay attention to the details that keep a wall from cracking or a floor from popping years later.
